Designer's comments: When I thought of Sacramento I thought of the sun soaked central valley of California. Therefore, I built the design around the sun image. The golden sun and yellow track represents the California Gold Rush. The runners with briefcases are self explanatory.

Designer's Comments: Same sun comments as above (for the "PW Shirt" logo) - I thought of the sun as a central theme and simplified the shirt design to fit on a medal.

Designer's comments: Since the most recognizable aspect to Sacramento is its roots in the gold rush in the 1800's I decided to play off that idea as it relates to the goals of racing....going for the gold....this is just a sketch. The final drawing will include both genders. The idea of this drawing is to add drama by depicting runners on the turns...this can be interpreted as either track or road races...I could also attempt to capture the Sacramento skyline in the background.
