2) Use of video stream:

Text: [Add to "Protest" section of rules and regs]

Use of video stream may only be used to determine order of finish for road races and track events. Only meet officials’ video stream may be used, and only for the express purpose of determining finishing order.

3) Discus throwing sector:

Text: [Add to "Field Events" section of rules and regs]

If a site can accommodate a 60 degree sector for the discus, it should be implemented.

4) Charges toward participation ceiling:

Text: [Add to "Participation/Records" section of rules and regs, after first paragraph]

If an athlete is a member of an event team that either DNFs or is disqualified in either prelims or finals, ALL athletes on that team will be charged for that event toward the event participation ceiling of 4 finals and 3 prelims.

5) Long jump runway markings:

Text: [Add to "Field Events" section of rules and regs]

For safety purposes, temporary markings on the runway are allowed; a facility’s existing runway markings need not be the only markings used for take-off board/foul, and measurement purposes.

6): Maximum number of events for participants:

Text: [Replace first paragraph of "Participation/Records" section of rules and regs with the following]

With the exception of Division IIAA athletes, each athlete may enter up to three events in the preliminaries and four events in the finals, with a maximum of three running events in each. Division IIAA athletes may enter up to 3 events in the preliminaries and 4 events in the finals, without regard to the type of event.

7) Age groups for team throws and jumps:

A new 70+ age group for the team throws and team jumps has been created.

Text: [Revise throw/jump decathlon scoring tables to create a 65-69 age group and to add a 70+ age group. NOTE: Standards for this new 70+ age group must be developed and identified!!!]

8) Road races (Division I and II):

Text: [Replace appropriate verbiage in "Ties and Tiebreakers" section of rules and regs with the following:]

Road race ties will be broken in the following manner:

1. Best individual age group place

2. Next best individual age group place

3. And so on, up to the required team scoring size

4. If a tie still exists, the best individual time in the race among the scoring team members, as determined using age-graded WAVA standards, will break the tie.

9) Road races (Division II only):

Number of scorers

Text: [Replace "Women's 5K Team Road Race" section of rules and regs with the following:]

Unlimited number of female runners, each running 5K, using cross-country style scoring in five-year age groups (ten-year age groups in Division II), with the summed score of the four best finishers (three best in Division II) in any combination of age groups determining place.

Combination of age groups

Text: [Replace last paragraph of "Age Groups For Road Races" section of rules and regs with the following:]

No runner may elect to run in a younger age group; all runners must run according to their true USCAA age. If there is an insufficient number of runners to comprise a competitive age group, standing rules for combining age group categories will apply for Division I only. Division II is not subject to combined age groups.

10) Necessity of Prelims (Division II only):

Text: [Replace first paragraph of "Track Events — General/ Finals Qualifying Standards" section of rules and regs with the following:]

Division II:

Where prelims are held, teams wishing to advance to the finals must run the prelims, regardless of the number of teams entered. If fewer than 8 Div. II teams are entered 30 days prior to Nationals, prelims will be held for the following events only:

4x100
4x200
3-lap Sprint Relay
Sprint Relay
