Charity Cup
Challenge

to benefit
Special Olympics International

USCAA is pleased to announce that the consulting firm Booz…Allen & Hamilton has issued a second annual Charity Cup Challenge in conjunction with this year's USCAA National Championships, July 19-20. The Charity Cup Challenge raises funds for Special Olympics International, which provides unique competitive opportunities for mentally retarded athletes to challenge themselves athletically, just as your team members will be doing in San Diego.

The Challenge is simple: whichever team raises the most funds per team member will take home the commemorative engraved traveling trophy. In addition, individual fund-raisers are eligible for an array of prizes - last year's top fund-raisers won round-trip tickets on United Airlines, free weekend get-aways to Ritz-Carlton resorts, free car rentals, and more. Over $14,000 was raised for Special Olympics International in the 1996 Charity Cup Challenge. With your help, we can make this year's success even more spectacular.

USCAA supports this effort to dedicate ourselves to the spirit of service, excellence, and opportunity both on and off the track. I encourage you to enlist your team members in this year's Charity Cup Challenge, and to start making plans for how your team can raise funds for Special Olympics International in this charity competition. For suggestions on how to organize your team's participation, feel free to call Gordon Smith at (703) 808-5409. And stay tuned for more information, including pledge sheets and prize opportunities.

We look forward to having your corporate team join us in this effort!

Sincerely,

Lou Putnam
President
